Who is SIETAR? What is DRIVE?



SIETAR Polska is a non-governmental organization which purpose is to encourage the development and application of knowledge, values and skills which enable effective intercultural communication at individual, group, organisation and community levels. One of our visible actions were trainings for volunteers for UEFA during EURO 2012!

        


Now we are going to organize an international training course on Youth mobility, designed within the framework of Youth Programme , Action 4.3 titled:

 DRIVE for success:      Diversity – Research – Inspiration – Values –Exchange

The project is directed to youth workers, teachers and trainers who: - are active members of non-governmental organizations; - are actively involved in youth work; - speak English at fluent level; - come from European Union countries.
The training will be held on 16-23 June 2013 in Poland in Cisów, Lesny Dworek.

The main goal of the project is to broaden participants’ knowledge of methods and tools necessary for conducting effective intercultural trainings especially in the field of young unemployed people mobility. As well as to raise participants knowledge of characteristics of training multicultural groups.
The specific aims of the project include: - exchanging experience in the field of helping young people to be ready to work abroad; - increasing intercultural competence; - designing new training methods and tools for workshops and trainings; - broadening knowledge of non-formal education

The above-mentioned aims will be achieved through non-formal ways of learning where both trainers’ and participants’ experience and knowledge will be engaged to design the training content of the project. The authors of the project will use active methods during this 5-day event, such as: workshops, discussions, simulation games, role-playing, reflections and etc. to interweave knowledge with experience and "real touching” of the discussed issues in the training room.
